Level 3

Making a difference every day!

'Youth workers are needed now, more than ever, to unlock young people’s potential and help them navigate a changing world. For many young people their youth worker is a lifeline, the only person they can talk to, and their youth organisation is the only place they can really be themselves.

Youth workers offer consistent and impactful support that stays with young people throughout their lives.

The Level 3 Youth Worker apprenticeship has Youth Support Worker status recognition by: National Youth Agency Education, Training and Standards Committee on behalf of Joint Negotiating Committee for Youth and Community Workers.'

A Youth Support Worker will study topics including:

  • Engaging with young people

  • Safeguarding in youth work

  • Group work theory

  • Personal and social education

  • Exploring values and beliefs

Our Learners Say

"During my learning journey, my knowledge around health and safety, risk assessments etc. has been invaluable to me in my role. Also, the help of my tutor was one of the best things I liked about the programme, she understands me, knows of my support needs, knows of my organisation now and shows a genuine interest in what I do."
