Level 3
Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

Making a difference every day!

Teaching assistants work with all age ranges and support many types of learners. They may support learners with special educational needs and disabilities, and learners with social, emotional, and mental health vulnerabilities.

Teaching assistants are found in primary, secondary, specialist schools, alternative provision, and further education institutions (such as sixth forms and colleges). They help ensure that learners understand their work and know their learning objectives.

Teaching assistants are responsible for:

  • Delivering individual and small group teaching.

  • Adapting planning under the direction of a teacher.

  • Implementing safeguarding policies and safe practice.

  • Promoting positive learning behaviours.

  • Working effectively with other education professionals.

Our Apprenticeships are flexibly delivered around the demands of your organisation and we minimise time away from the workplace through our suite of tutor-support, rich-media and online training methods.

The training delivers the skills, core competencies, and desired behaviours to develop teaching and support staff who can work safely, efficiently, and contribute to the achievement of educational and business goals.

Our Learners Say

callum.jpg
"During my learning journey, my knowledge around health and safety, risk assessments etc. has been invaluable to me in my role. Also, the help of my tutor was one of the best things I liked about the programme, she understands me, knows of my support needs, knows of my organisation now and shows a genuine interest in what I do."
